Sarah Leaver: performer, teacher, workshop leader
Sarah Leaver has been involved in professional theatre as an actor, teacher/workshop leader since 2000.
She has toured extensively around the U.K and internationally with Company Collisions and Periplum Theatre Company. Performances with Periplum include outdoor spectacles Arquiem and The Bell (UK, Poland, Mexico), La Campana (tour of Mexico), The Witching Hour, The Glass Ceiling (UK tours) and site-specific promenade '1000 Revolutions'. She has also co-devised with Periplum on educational projects in Mexico City and Jalapa.

She has worked on all eight major Company Collisions productions including performing in Nothing Left to Lose at The Royal Festival Hall, National Theatre as part of The London International Mime Festival.

Sarah has also performed with mask company Facepack Theatre Company over the period of 8 years she has toured to schools throughout the South East and The Isle of Wight.
Sarah Leaver has an HND in Physical Theatre and an MA in Creative Writing, she has trained in Mime with Desmond Jones and trained in Butoh, Suzuki and Clowning.
Sarah began writing and developing 'Memoirs of a Hermaphrodite' in 2008 with support from ACE. In 2010 The Oval House Theatre supported a three week run which reached high critical acclaim and sold out for it's final week. Sarah was nominated 'Best Solo Performer' during the Brighton Fringe 2010 and the show was well received at The Unity Theatre, Liverpool in March.
'Memoirs of a Hermaphrodite' was selected for the 2011 Decibel Showcase, Manchester in September. http://www.decibelpas.com

Sarah currently teaches at Greater Brighton Metropolitan College on BA Degree and Extended Diploma Acting courses. She co-runs the Extended Diploma Performing Arts Course and has a Certificate in Education.
She has taught movement at Brighton's Academy of Creative Training at Foundation and Diploma level.
She has taught theatre workshops extensively in Italy, Spain and Germany to school groups aged between 14-16yrs with Pavilion Tours.
